We feed people with food, fellowship, and love. We provide food from a community of efforts. Families take home vital groceries; shut-ins enjoy a respite from loneliness while receiving a hot meal; children bring home food for the weekend–all part of a community-wide effort to eliminate food insecurities, address child nutrition and extend the hand of God to others.

Recovery efforts from the devastation caused by Hurricane Helene
AOM was already in our community, working alongside partners and neighbors to support healthy, hunger-free futures. When Hurricane Helene struck, you made it possible for us to mobilize quickly to deliver nourishment and relief through the challenging days that followed. And tomorrow, we’ll still be here, working together to build stronger, more resilient, and healthier futures for our families in western Ashe County.
Our recovery from Hurricane Helene is largely over, although we continue to replace damaged equipment and furnishings into 2026. The bulk of our attention and efforts have now returned to serving our community and fighting food insecurity.
